On Holy Saturday, Christ lies silent in death and our world is in a nightmare with a virus that kills. But we have to know that God raised Jesus from the dead. And we have to remember that God’s plans for us are “plans of peace, not disaster, a future full of hope.” So we trust. We continue to care for each other and tend the earth, ‘our common home’, so no viruses can again spread so indiscrimanately on it. For “God hears the cry of the poor” and will not let us down. God will let Easter happen!
